Koutoubia views, sunset over the medina, dinner up high… 9 rooftops in Marrakech. Checked one by one.
In Marrakech, life often happens on the rooftops. We kept nine elevated terraces open to the public, and not just for cocktails. In the medina, three addresses cluster around Rahba Lakdima, the spice square: a lunch, a break on a museum roof, tea at sunset. Towards Souk Laksour and Bab El Ksour, the Koutoubia steals the show, drink in hand. Further out, Hivernage has a 5th-floor pool, and Guéliz two rooftops for afterwork or a late night.
Budgets vary a lot: an 80 MAD museum ticket on one side, a 70 MAD happy hour on the other, mains around 160 to 240 MAD on some menus. Two places focus on tea and juices rather than alcohol. Hours and prices come from official websites and guides consulted in October 2026. For sunset, book or arrive early.
Updated October 2026.
How we chose these places
We started from the rooftops listed on SAM.ma in Marrakech. We read customer reviews, went through menus, websites and Instagram accounts, and kept only one address per brand. This isn't a ranking: we wanted a mix of styles and budgets.
Nothing is made up. If we couldn't check a price or opening hours, we left it out. Google ratings date from October 2026 and the photos come from the SAM.ma listings.

Want the Koutoubia in your glass? MK Rooftop is at 14 Derb Sebaai, in the Souk Laksour area, a stone's throw from the mosque. The website makes a point of this view, and The Rooftop Guide describes a 360° panorama that also takes in Dar el Bacha. On the plate, the cooking blends Morocco and France, with tapas, a couscous or a beef tartare mentioned by the guides. At the bar, house cocktails, French wines, champagne. It's a restaurant-bar, so alcohol is served. Service runs from noon to 2 am, every day. For sunset, book: the guide recommends it at peak times. Prices aren't published online; budget for an evening out in the medina rather than a snack. In September 2026, Google showed 4.6/5 from more than 7,800 reviews.
