Huna in Rabat: our review of this Mediterranean restaurant

In Hay Riad, Huna serves Mediterranean sharing plates and a 100% à la carte brunch at weekends. We tell you what to order.

Looking for a table in Rabat for dinner with friends, or a brunch that isn't a buffet? Huna, Eat & Drink, ticks both boxes. The restaurant is in Hay Riad, on rue Camellia. Mediterranean food, sharing plates, a big terrace.

What you eat at Huna

The menu aims to be simple, healthy and generous, and it changes with the seasons. A few dishes we noted on the menu on the official website:

For dessert, the San Sebastian cheesecake at 45 DH. Red berry coulis, chocolate or amlou. The amlou is the little Moroccan touch.

The weekend brunch

At Huna, there's no set formula. Brunch is 100% à la carte: eggs, tartines, mezze, sweets and drinks, plate by plate. You order at your own pace. It's ideal for late mornings, especially since the restaurant opens at 10 am on Saturdays and Sundays.

The atmosphere

The dining room is bright. Reed ceiling, wicker pendant lights, rattan armchairs, terracotta banquettes and lots of plants. Outside, the terrace stretches out under parasols, surrounded by plants. The listing describes a cosy, friendly place, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and vegetarian options.

People come as couples, with friends or with family. The setting is photogenic, but it's not just about the decor. At the end of July 2026, Huna showed 4.7 on Google from more than 3,700 reviews. That says something.

Who it's for, and when?

On weekdays, Huna opens at noon. It's a good spot for a light business lunch in Hay Riad: a bowl, a dessert, and off you go. In the evening, the sharing menu works better in a group. Order two or three starters for the table, then a main each.

At weekends, the restaurant opens at 10 am for brunch. Vegetarians will find options on the menu, as flagged on the listing.

Don't feel like going out? Huna delivers via Glovo. And if you're spending the summer in the North, the brand has a second address in Cabo Negro.

And during Ramadan?

In February 2026, we went there for ftour. Huna was serving a set menu at the table for 280 DH per person, no buffet: harira, a savoury assortment, dates, Moroccan sweets, generous dishes and desserts. A good option for a family ftour without queuing. This video was made in collaboration with the restaurant. Book early if you're aiming for the next edition.
