Pizza or pasta? At Baci, you don't have to choose. This Italian restaurant in Hay Riad, Rabat, made its name with its half-and-half: half a pizza and half a plate of pasta, or salad, served together. It's on avenue Annakhil. And it's open every day, from noon to midnight.
The half-and-half, how it works
Almost the whole menu comes in two sizes: half or large. You pick two halves, pizza, pasta or salad, and build your duo. A few prices noted on the SAM.ma listing:
- Pizza Margarita: 29 DH for a half, 59 DH for a large.
- Pizza Baci: 59 DH for a half, with white sauce, truffle oil and olive tapenade.
- Pizza Pil Pil: 69 DH for a half, marinated prawns, squid and spicy sauce.
- Lebanese pizza: 49 DH for a half, tahini sauce and marinated chicken. Unusual.
- Spaghetti Baci: 69 DH for a half, squid, prawns, garlic and red chilli.
- Truffle tagliatelle: 65 DH for a half.
- Penne carbonara: 45 DH for a half, with smoked turkey.
So a Margarita and spaghetti napoletana duo comes to 64 DH. For lunch, that's very affordable. And if you're hungry, nothing stops you ordering the large portion of a single dish. The large Pil Pil costs 138 DH, to share between two.
Panuozzos and the rest
The house's other speciality is the panuozzo. Sandwiches made with pizza dough, served with fries. Grilled chicken, minced beef, hot dog or pizza burger at 79 DH. Seafood at 85 DH.
There are also burgers from 75 to 89 DH, lasagne bolognese at 79 DH and a kids' menu at 59 DH with a main, a drink and a surprise.
For dessert, the pistachio Nutella pizza at 49 DH and the Nutella Milka pizza at 55 DH. Tiramisu is 39 DH. And the giant cookie, served with a scoop of ice cream, at 75 DH, is one to share.
For takeaway, the website advertises an offer: buy 2 pizzas, get the 3rd free. The cheapest of the three is the free one.
The atmosphere
The dining room is colourful. Orange walls, a "Pizza Pasta e Basta" neon, orange armchairs, a green wall and a glazed veranda. The pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven. The listing describes a friendly, cosy, family-oriented place, with a terrace, wheelchair access and a kids' menu. An easy choice for a family meal or lunch with colleagues.
Google reviews are more mixed: the listing showed 3.9 on Google from 186 reviews at the end of July 2026. Make up your own mind.
And during Ramadan?
In March 2025, Baci offered a ftour served at the table for 249 DH. Harira or fish soup, dates, eggs, chebakia, then a main of your choice: wood-fired pizza, Pil Pil tagine, burger or pizza sandwich. And for dessert, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, mhallabia and a mini pistachio Nutella pizza. The price dates from 2025.
